Moorlands Primary School

Rio Day 2016

As you may have read in the press, there is possible strike action by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and we are currently gathering information about how this will impact Moorlands Primary School on the 5th of July.

In the light of this we have made the decision to move out 'Rio Olympic' Open Afternoon from Tuesday, 5th July. It will now be on the 4th July. All arrangements will stay the same.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and this decison was not taken lightly. We are also aware that 4P will be on their trip to York that day, so will not be able to take part in the 'Rio Olympic' Open Afternoon. Due to the very bust timetable at this time of year, this was the only possible date the event could be rearranged to.

Information for the afternoon:

During the afternoon all children will be taking part in a range of activites themed around a particular country that they can adapt and do at home during the holiday.

Each Year Group will also have a race slot outside during the afternoon, where your child will take part in three different races.

We hope that you will be able to come into scholl and see what we are doing.

The afternoon will start at 1:00pm with a short introduction and explanation of the afternoon and end at 3:15pm.

Yours sincerley
